Organic Cocoa butter is a natural butter that is high in fatty acids. The fat in cocoa butter forms a protective barrier over skin to hold in moisture. Cocoa butter is also rich in natural plant compounds called phytochemicals - which may improve blood flow to the skin and slow skin aging by protecting against damage from the sun’s harmful UV rays. This amazing butter can smooth scars, wrinkles, and other marks on the skin while also soothing and helping to heal skin conditions like eczema.
Organic Shea butter is a natural butter and is our favorite ingredient for natural skincare. We use Shea Butter in so many formulations because of it's high concentration of vitamins, fatty acids and moisturizing ability. Shea contains linoleic, oleic, stearic, and palmitic acids - all great for moisturizing and nourishing skin. These acids are rapidly absorbed into your skin and immediate restore moisture to dry and irritated skin, while also creating a protective barrier.
Organic Coconut oil is a natural oil and anti-microbial agent that can fight common skin infections while naturally soothing skin conditions and acne. Coconut Oil is naturally healing, moisturizing and protects that skin from UV radiations. We like to use Organic Coconut Oil because it also gives our deodorant sticks a natural glide, so that it applies to the skin gently and with minimal swipes!
Our active ingredient! Did you know that about 60% of chemicals applied to the skin can be absorbed directly into the body?
This is we carefully choose all of the ingredients that we use in our products. We chose Magnesium Hydroxide as the active ingredients in our deodorants. We've opted our of aluminum and baking soda, which can be skin irritants. Studies have shown that Magnesium Hydroxide does not absorb into the skin. Instead, its main purpose in a natural deodorant is to counteract any odor-causing bacteria on the surface of the skin without impacting the dermis layer of skin where sweat glands, pores and hair follicles are contained.
Magnesium Hydroxide keeps odor at bay by killing bacteria, without stripping or irritating the skin, blocking pores or drying skin.
Oh, how we love Jojoba Oil! It's natural, it's moisturizing and best of all - Jojoba oil regulates sebum production because it's similar to the sebum that your body produces naturally. When Jojoba Oil is applied to your skin, your skin is naturally soothes and moisturized. This sends a signal to your hair and sweat follicles that your skin doesn’t need additional sebum for hydration.
This helps prevent bumps caused by clogged pores, reducing irritation and sweat production.
